Free-roaming cats pose significant, long-term threats to local wildlife, ecosystems, and community health. The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) supports the One Health approach to managing free-roaming cats to promote animal welfare, public health and ecological resilience. This webinar will explore the role of RVTs in mitigating the impacts of free-roaming cats while ensuring humane and ethical treatment of all animals. Key topics include:

  • Impacts of free-roaming cats on wildlife and ecosystems
  • Ethical responsibilities of RVTs in cat welfare and wildlife conservation
  • Effective management and rehabilitation strategies for owned outdoor and feral cat populations

This presentation is supported by the Stewardship Centre for BC.
